J Swap Stockfoods
Brief: In one of the fastest growing agricultural sectors J Sawp Stockfoods recognised a need to ‘up the ante’ on branding and marketing their business. Originating as Contractors they recognised the impact some sound marketing could make on their business and the need to be seen to be the serious player in the stock food market they knew they were.
The Process: Oomphatic met with the directors and management of the company for an initial review of their existing activities. After analysing the business through various marketing models two key aspects stood out. The need to put a face to the company and the need for more immediate and efficient communication with their clients.
The Result: A series of farmer testimonials and staff interviews were undertaken by Oomphatic. The staff interviews showed the clients who they were dealing with and what their roles were within the company. Farmer testimonials always hold more weight in than recommendations from Swap Stockfoods and this was used to good effect. Oomphatic also introduced e-marketing to Swap Contractors as a fast, measureable, cheap and immediate way to connect with their clients. These articles and photos were posted on the website and used in the e-marketing newsletters.

Historic Creations
Brief: Historic Creations by Adrian Worsley is a business turning recycled, reclaimed and reused farm machinery, implements and garden tools into unique works of art. Adrian however wanted to be full time sculpting without having to worry about getting out and selling his business. He contacted Oomphatic to assist on forming a plan of attack to achieve this goal.
The Process: Oomphatic met with Adrian to ensure an understanding of his business. It was decided fairly early on in the process that a website was a necessity as a way of promoting Adrian's art. This was reinforced by the fact that sculptures were sent all around New Zealand or lay in private residence. This meant that few people were able to see the works once gone from his workshop.
Secondary to this was the opening of a gallery in Te Aroha to showcase his works.
The Result: Oomphatic project managed the website by liaising with a graphic designer and website designer. Together website graphics, content, and construction was undertaken and launched.
This was closely followed by the planning and opening of The Adrian Worsley gallery. All event planning was undertaken by Oomphatic including development of invites and promotional material, press releases and one the night event management. The gallery opening attracted over 300 guests and has been a huge success in sales for Adrian enabling him to realise his dream of being a full time sculptor.

And now: The website www.adrianworsley.co.nz is a great display of Adrian's creativity that meets his criteria of not having to leave his workshop to display it. Ongoing marketing activities are being undertaken to drive traffic to the website and also for continual promotion of Adrian and his works.
Magill Earl and Co
Brief: Terry Magill and Anne Earl have established a healthy sound business, offering general Solicitor and Barrister services to the clientele primarily based around the greater Matamata area for the last 25 or so years. However, it was recognised that the business had matured and there is a need to introduce some younger staff and clientele to the business and that there was also an opportunity to fully integrate the part time office at Mount Maunganui.
The Process: Oomphatic! consulted with the owners of the business to discuss their needs. All aspects of the business were considered and Oomphatic! stepped through the importance of the 7 P's of marketing to demonstrate the areas for further attention. A marketing plan was written to support the decision making for the business and act as the 'blue print' for the way ahead.
The Result: The marketing plan recognised that in order to attract new clientele the business needed to 'freshen up' its brand. To this extent Oomphatic! developed a new image for Magill Earl and Co which included amending the name to Magill Earl. This new image was implemented across both the Matamata and Mount Maunganui offices with Oomphatic! managing all elements of the business change over, including signage, stationary and more.
And now: Today Magill Earl remains a reputable and respected Law firm servicing both Matamata and the Mount Maunganui regions. Changes within the business have been readily accepted by clients with many commenting on the new look. Two new partners (Paul Gasgoine and Eric Tanner) have been bought on board and adding vigour to the practice.
testimonial
"The partners of Magill Earl and Co (as it was then), hired Oomphatic! (and Jillian O'Neill) upon the recommendation of a successful local refrigeration company, at a time when we considered our practice and our image had become a little sluggish and in need of some rejuvenation. Oomphatic!, after discussion, came up with a plan — which we adopted and which was very successful. It achieved more than we expected.
Magill Earl and Co news article
Oomphatic! (and Jillian) were very professional in its approach and in the carrying out of the project. I enjoyed working with Jillian. I have no hesitation in recommending Oomphatic! Its knowledge and experience in such promotions and activities is first class. " - Terry Magill, Senior Partner, Magill Earl.
Te Aroha Kindergarten Association
Brief: The Te Aroha Kindergarten Association (TAKA) has been operating for 50 years in the district running the Te Aroha Kindergarten and had recently introduced another ECE centre to its portfolio, Country Kids Kindergarten. The introduction of this second service highlighted the need for rebranding the organisation and all its entities.
The Process: Oomphatic! consulted with the Board and Management of the Association and its centres and drew up a brand brief. The brand brief was to try to link all three centres in some way to show they were all part of the same family yet maintain a clear identity. The logo's must be modern and professional and reflect that our business is about children but not to look like the children created the logos.
The Result: The following logo's were developed and implemented across all the centres including signage, stationary, promotional material and any other relevant business material.

And now: From here Oomphatic! went on to facilitate Strategic Planning for this 'not for profit' organisation. This was undertaken over two sessions and the result is a focused strategic plan. This plan recognises the organisations strengths and commitment to the next 5-10 years planning with actions already underway to implement some of the long term goals.
testimonial
"Oomphatic worked closely with us to re-brand our organization and develop a strategic plan, which is something that we have never done before. As a result, we now have a clear direction in which we are heading and look very professional doing it. Jillian made the process simple and meaningful for us and we are very excited about our future now that we have a clear path to follow" - Cassie Warburton, Chair of the Board of Trustees, Te Aroha Kindergarten Association.
Matamata Refrigeration Services
Brief: Matamata Refrigeration Services recognised that their name was placing limitations on their business opportunities. Customers thought they only did refrigeration (and so were not allowing them to quote on heat pumps) and that they only operated in Matamata when they infact covered the greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty area. The business also now involved three partners and were looking for a fresh new look and marketing strategy to take their business forward.
The Process: Oomphatic! consulted with the management team and designed a brand brief, including a new name. The idea was to come up with a name to demonstrate what their business was about without placing any limitations on it. Oomphatic! came up with 'Centigrade - Temperature Control Specialists'. A new brand plan was then developed to support the rebranding activity and further develop a new marketing strategy.
The Result: The resulting brand was implemented across the business which covered off re-imaging all business elements like signage, vehicles, uniforms, stationary and advertising. The brand plan including press releases, letters to customers advising them of the name change, radio advertising, 0800 numbers and the development of a website. Also during this process Oomphatic! recommended trade marking the old and new brands for protection against potential competitive businesses. This was done due to specific concerns the business owners had in their particular region.

And now: Today Centigrade's business is booming and many of the barriers that were presented to them by customers are no longer an issue. A carefully managed brand plan has seen that none of the brand equity in the previous business name has been lost and that the new name has been eagerly accepted.
